Service View & Floor Plan
Manage service with the interactive floor plan and timeline views
Updated Jan 11, 2026
The Service view is your command center during service hours. It provides real-time visibility into table status, reservations, and server assignments.
Accessing the Service View
Navigate to Service in the admin sidebar. The Service view shows:
- All tables with their current status
- Today's reservations organized by time
- Server assignments
- Waitlist entries
View Modes
The Service view offers multiple ways to visualize your floor:
Floor Plan View
The interactive floor plan shows your restaurant layout with:
- Table shapes: Rectangles, circles, squares, ovals, and bar seating
- Status colors: Available (white), occupied (colored by status), selected (highlighted)
- Server colors: Tables show their assigned server's color
- Real-time updates: Status changes appear instantly
Interacting with the Floor Plan:
- Click a table to view details or take action
- Drag a reservation onto a table to seat guests
- Long-press a table to create a walk-in or view options
Timeline View
The timeline provides a horizontal view of reservations across time:
- See occupancy patterns throughout the day
- Identify gaps and busy periods
- View reservations by table row
- Color-coded by reservation status
List View
A traditional list of reservations grouped by status:
- Arriving Soon: Reservations within the next 2 hours
- Seated: Currently occupied tables
- Upcoming: Later reservations
- Done: Completed reservations

For guests without a reservation:

A walk-in reservation is created and immediately seated
From the Waitlist

Server Assignments
Assign servers to tables for tracking and organization.
Assigning Servers
- Go to Settings → Servers to add your servers with colors
- In Service view, enable Server Mode or use the server panel
- Click a server's color chip, then click tables to assign them
- Server colors appear on assigned tables
Tip
Server assignments are date-specific. You can set up different assignments for each service.
Paint Mode (Mobile)
On the mobile app, use Paint Mode for quick bulk assignments:
- Tap a server's color chip in the server panel
- Tap multiple tables to assign them to that server
- Tap the chip again to exit paint mode
Live Mode
Enable Live Mode to keep the view synchronized with real-time:
- Current time indicator moves automatically
- View auto-refreshes every 30 seconds
- Best for during active service
When Live Mode is off, you can browse other dates and times without automatic updates.
Table Status Indicators

|---|---|---|
| Available | White/empty | Table is free |
| Booked | Blue | Reservation exists, not yet arrived |
| Confirmed | Green | Confirmed, awaiting arrival |
