Products
Product Types
TableYeah supports four product types:
- Add-ons: Extras for reservations and events (wine pairings, dessert upgrades)
- Food: Pre-order items for pickup
- Merchandise: Physical goods (t-shirts, cookbooks, branded items)
- Gift Cards: Stored-value cards for future purchases
Creating a Product
Go to Commerce → Products
Click New Product
Select the product type (this cannot be changed later)
Enter product details:
- Name and description
- Base price (not required for gift cards)
- Currency
Configure availability:
- Available in Store: Show on your public storefront
- Show Stock Quantity: Display remaining stock to customers
Click Save
Product Variants
Products can have multiple variants for different sizes, colors, or options:
Open a product and click Manage Variants
Add variants with:
- Label (e.g., "Small", "Large", "Red")
- SKU (optional, for inventory systems)
- Price override (optional, defaults to base price)
- Inventory quantity
When a product has variants, inventory is tracked per-variant rather than at the product level.
Product Images
Upload multiple images per product:
- Set a primary image for listings
- Drag to reorder images
- Supports JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP
Gift Card Products
Gift card products work differently:
- No base price: Customers choose the value when purchasing
- Value range: Set minimum and maximum amounts (default $10-$500)
- No inventory: Gift cards are generated on purchase, not pre-created
- No variants: Gift cards don't support variants
Info
When a customer purchases a gift card product, they specify the recipient's email and an optional personal message. The gift card is automatically created and emailed after payment.
